I bought six for a long narrow dining room. Three on each side. Added crochet shades. They usher you into the room and are so much more ambient and romantic than the led lights that were there. The conversion was easy and the ceiling plates are large enough to cover the space. there’s plenty of room for the excess wire to wind around. Mine are only hanging 6 inches from the ceiling. The gold shade/bulb connection is beautiful. Highly recommend.

I think you have a very good and economic product to covert can lighting to pendant lighting. My only frustration was wrapping the excess cord around the plug fixture. especially when you need to do 3 pendants in a row at the same height. Using a hair dryer to soften the cord was great but still it was difficult to get the wrapped cord to stay in place. I duct tapped the wrapped cord which held it all in place. Maybe you can come up with a clamp which can then be installed to hold the cord at the proper level, but otherwise a great product.

My house/in-ceiling recessed can lights are 28 years old and not recommended for these pendant lights. However, all I had to do was drill two holes in each can light and insert screws to attach the can light parts together so the weight of the pendant light would not separate the can light parts.
