This product is only compatible with new-construction recessed can fixtures (up to 4" - 6" wide) that are supported by screwing or nailing the fixture's frame/housing to the ceiling joists. In comparison with the housing for a remodel recessed can fixture that is typically supported by pushing metal clips through the housing onto the top of the ceiling—the drywall or plaster. Canopy is 8.25" wide.

I purchased the brushed nickel globe instant pendant light to hang above my kitchen sink. It was beautifully made! Material is solid. The fixture is constructed so that there is a nice transition from the cord into the bulb socket—and that attention to design detail makes a big difference. I’m so happy with my purchase. I did not know what instant meant when I ordered the lights. They were not compatible with my wiring, but my installer was able to adjust and install them. I absolutely love them!!! Extremely pleased with the quality. So glad we were able to use them.
