Houston-based, Worth Home Products delivers a patented luxury return air vent that's been a favorite of designers, builders and luxury homeowners for over 20 years. Made of solid wood and already primed white, our vent covers easily paint to match your walls or trim.  Fast and easy installation. Each vent includes a 3-inch (3") deep metal frame that holds a 1" inch standard AC air filter and locks the vent cover grate in place with our patented wall design.  See our wood register covers listing. Houston customers can have a WILL CALL pickup option.

HOW TO ORDER YOUR CORRECT SIZE:

  • Do NOT measure your current vent cover. This will result in ordering the wrong size.

Measure the inside rough duct opening (Width x Height):

  • Start by detaching the current return vent cover and filter so that the wall is bare.
  • Measure the duct's width (left to right), then the height (top to bottom).
  • Due to our wood and metal parts, we require a minimum of 1/8” larger space than the size you plan to order? Example: a 20 x 20 vent requires a HVAC duct opening of 20 1/8" x 20 1/8 " to fit our 2-parts.
NOTE: Sheet Metal Ducts tend to be smaller and incompatible with our vent covers. Image attached.

Check the depth of your HVAC duct:

  • Our product requires 3-inches of unobstructed depth  inside the duct - remove the filter to check.

Choose the correct blade/louver orientation:

  • Choose your orientation - Horizontal vs. Vertical - Louvers need to be parellel with the floor.
  • The first measurement is the width and the second is the height.

Check for space on the wall around the duct:

  • Like a picture frame, our products has a 2" casing or frame that sits flush against the wall.
  • Ensure there are no obstructions like baseboards or millwork trim within 2" of your new vent cover.

Confirm fit:

  • Do you have the correct size? MUST match your filter size.
  • Did you order the right orientation vertical vs. horizontal?
  • Is your duct opening a minimum of 1/8” larger than the size ordered?
  • Do you have 3” of depth/clearance inside your duct?
  • Are there 2" of space free from obstructions on the wall around the duct opening?
  • Don't order a size that is close to what you need. It won't work as this is a functional HVAC product that needs to align with your filter size or duct.
  • Recommended for Wall Applications
  • NOT compatible with 1" metal washable filters

Cold Air Return Grill

I love the looks of this and it was very easy to install. Such an upgrade from the metal grill. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star review is that when furnace or AC is on, it's noisier than my old metal vent. Is there something I can do (insulate??) to make it quieter?

Hi Diana,

Hope you are well and we are happy to hear you love the look. We know from experience that our vent covers are quieter than the metal. The issue is likely that you have a small gap at the metal flange. Escaped air is causing the noise. If you would just remove the wood cover and caulk any visible gap, the noise will go away. Promise. Unfortunately, HVAC openings are not univerally cut and sometimes some caulking is needed. Please let us know. Thank you again for your support.
