How to Order the Right Size
Match your filter size.
Order the A/C cover size that matches your air filter (NOT your old vent cover).
Example: If your filter is 20" x 20", order a 20" x 20" cover.
Check your duct opening.
It must be at least ⅛" larger than the size you order and have 3" depth inside.
Example: A 20" x 20" cover needs a duct opening of at least 20 ⅛" x 20 ⅛" and 3" deep.
Choose orientation.
Width (left–right) is the first number; height (top–bottom) is the second.
Example: 14" x 20" = 14" louver measurement x 20" tall (vertical). 20" x 14" = 20" louver measurement x 14" tall (horizontal).
Check wall clearance.
Allow 2" of space around the opening for the border.
Example: If trim or baseboard is within 2" of the duct, the cover will require wall modifications.
✅ Fit checklist: filter size matches, duct is big enough, 3" depth, 2" wall clearance, correct orientation.
