This product is only compatible with new-construction recessed can fixtures (up to 4" - 6" wide) that are supported by screwing or nailing the fixture's frame/housing to the ceiling joists. In comparison with the housing for a remodel recessed can fixture that is typically supported by pushing metal clips through the housing onto the top of the ceiling—the drywall or plaster. Canopy is 8.25" wide.

The pendant lights that I ordered for over the island arrived in a week and were really easy to install. I did have to fiddle a little to get them to hang the same length, but got it after a couple tries. The covers are a perfect fit over the pre-existing can lights. Very happy with the look and would order from them again.

I’m sorry this is just a lot smaller than I thought. The shade needs to be bigger. But Over all good quality and sturdy, just a bummer about the size
