In comparison with the housing for a remodel recessed can fixture that is typically supported by pushing metal clips through the housing onto the top of the ceiling—the drywall or plaster. Canopy is 8.25" wide.

The size is perfect for making a statement in our kitchen.
The glass is beautiful. We put them on slanted ceilings and you need to make sure the cord is taught when you tighten this to the ceiling or they will slide. Cords also will straighten out after a few days or so. Love them!
We'd love to see our lights on your beautiful slanted ceiling and yes, it's important to pull the cord before tightening the compression nut, to ensure the canopy seals tightly on the ceiling. We really appreciate your taking the time to share your feedback. Thanks again.
